This represents characters technically run by multiple GMs, allowing for player characters for everyone. The party currently topped out at 5th level for most of the characters as of GenCon 2007. Kudos to Mike Modee for spearheading the lion's share of the effort perparing us.
GENCON Implications
The excitement and ramp-up in advance of GenCon really encouraged the Monday night team to get the characters up to a more fun playing level and to invest sessions in Living Greyhawk. Ultimately, three factors led to the campaign's likely permanent stand still:
- The disasterous 2007 RPGA Open Tourney Semifinal situation disillusioned many of the players, particularly on their first ever GenCon experience. Although technically not Living Greyhawk, it left a bad taste in everyone's mouths.
- The announcement of 4th Edition by the next year in advance of GENCON and the suspension of Living Greyhawk is essentially a death knell.
- Mike Modee Acquiscing to allow his Monday night slot to be taken over by Steve's Gestalt Campaign.
It remains to be seen what willingness there shall be for 3.5 edition official events in advance of GenCon in 2008.
